Hypnotherapy
Dictionary definition
"Hypnosis - an artificially induced state of relaxation and concentration in which deeper parts of the mind become more accessible."
Hypnosis is a scientifically verified and effective technique that can promote accelerated human change. With Hypnosis we can create desired changes in behavior and encourage mental and physical well-being.
Under hypnosis, Alison can guide you to lose weight, quit smoking, release tension, change undesirable behaviour and be free of physical pain. Hypnosis is suitable for all individuals seeking to make a positive change in their lives.
Hypnotherapy works by communicating with the unconscious mind whilst the consious mind is held gently in a relaxed state. It is a natural state somewhere between daydreaming and sleep. It enables the therapist to access and communicate directly with the unconscious mind. Clients remain fully aware and in control throughout an hypnosis session and are able to bring themselves out of trance in any situation should they wish to.
People experience hypnosis differently depending on how deeply they allow themselves to go into trance. Contrary to popular belief, people cannot be made to do things they do not want to do. If that were true, the worlds greatest hypnotists would be running the world but they are not!
